This attractive and well-designed project kit uses a standard mandrel and bushing set to quickly produce this Key Ring Whistle. Coupled with one of our project blanks in an exotic timber or even more exotic acrylic you can produce an unusual and stylish gift.

This kit features 10ct gold plated and solid brass parts which, when combined with a well grained timber, makes up into an attractive looking project. The atomizer measures 5/8" diameter by 3.3/8" long and we would recommend a wood blank of 1" diameter by 4" long for turning both the body and the cap. The perfume is stored in a small glass vial inside the atomizer to prevent contact with the brass parts. The removable atomizer mechanism complete with the glass vial is available as a separate part (340009) so that different perfumes can be used within the same holder. The atomizer is turned on a standard pen mandrel using the 310388 set of bushings and the blank requires a 15mm diameter hole. We recommend using material 1" in diameter by 4" long to allow for decorative woodturning on the barrel and cap. 15mm drill required.

The perfume pen is an excellent project for woodturners to make as a natural companion to pens and perfume bottles. The finished applicator is about the size of a pen and can be used during the day to apply fresh amounts of perfume with precise control and little notice. The rubber seal against the end cap prevents leakage or evaporation. Inside the pen is a fitted wick to absorb the perfume on filling (ensure this is fitted prior to pressing on the brass end caps).
